and Stretch
Your 8 week movement series to get through the holidays and into a new year.
Christine (they/them) is PowerUP’s newest coach who LOVES to teach group classes for folks who feel left out in traditional movement settings.
They have lots of experience teaching strength coaching, adaptable American-style kickboxing, and mobility movements that help you “do life” a whole lot easier. Join Christine this fall to boost your mood, build your confidence, and find community!
SSS is…
For the absolute beginner and beginner+! Covers the basics of 6 movement patterns: Push, Pull, Squat, Hinge, Transverse, and Locomotion. All 3 classes will cover these movement patterns in various ways giving you the tools to create your own movement sessions!
Recommended equipment: You do not NEED any equipment for level 1, but if you want to add to your home gym collection, consider 5, 10, 15, 20 lb kettlebells, various collection of resistance bands, a sturdy chair, yoga mat, yoga blocks, and a yoga strap.
Strike: 30 minutes of American Kickboxing/Boxing style movements. Includes variations for standing, chair, and floor based movements. You will learn a 5-10 combinations of movements during the 8 weeks that you can mix and match. Each class has a warm up, 20 minutes of strike movement combinations broken down into dominant, front facing, and non dominant sides. This will be a super fun way to move your body!
Strength: We will spend the first 4 weeks learning the do’s and don’ts of strength training. How to properly and safely do the 6 movement patterns, and different variations for standing and chair. During weeks 5-8 the option to add dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance band will be included.
Stretch: It is as important to relax your body as it is to activate your body. Activation and Relaxation must coexist for our bodies to get stronger and increase mobility. Variations will be provided for standing, chair, and floor.
Strike
Saturdays 11 am EST
Strike is an adapted approach to American Kickboxing, presented with lots of warmup and cooldown support. You’ll feel limber and buzzy by the time you’re done! All you need for this class is your body.
Strength
Mondays 7 pm EST
Strength includes foundational strength training with LOTS of options to accommodate your needs. All you need for class is 1-2 kettlebells or household objects.
Stretch
Wednesdays 7 pm EST
An all levels class! Stretch is all about winding down at the end of the week. You’ll get wiggly and loose with gentle moves that feel juicy. All you need for this class is your body.

All classes include seated and standing options adaptable to any capacity.
This class series (and all PowerUP endeavors) is not a weight loss program. Folks of all shapes, sizes, colors, genders, and abilities are welcome to join us. When you register, you’ll fill out a form to let us know about any accommodations you need.
Strength, Strike, and Stretch helps you get moving on a regular basis, with accessible movements that actually feel good! You’ll be glad you showed up.
We cap each class at 15 people, and all classes are recorded for easy access if you have to miss.
